1. Mentorship question: Describe your experience in how you found your mentorship? If you haven't found one yet, describe your experience so far in the search of a mentor.
Finding my mentor was easier than I thought it would be. I had told my mom what my idea was for my senior project and she told me that a mom from my little sister’s class was a pharmacist and she just opened her own pharmacy. Her name is Joanne. My mom told me that she would talk to Joanne and let me know. A week or two passed by and mom forgot to talk to her. My old school has a carnival every year and the parents have to work some of the booths. The eve of the carnival we were at my old school passing out packets for the parents that were working. My mom starts talking to one of the moms from the school about my project and she suggested I go talk to Joanne. She told me that she would introduce me to her the next day during the carnival. The next day I went with her and she introduced me to Joanne. I told her about my project and she said she’d love to help me.
The most important article I’ve read was Good Medicine: The Doctor and Pharmacist Team. I found it very important because I learned how if a doctor and pharmacist work closely together it would improve patient care.
